What a PTK paddle rating is
A 0–10 score from a named editor based on hands-on play sessions. Each rating breaks down into power, control, spin, and pop sub-scores. The reviewer’s name, session count, and how they got the paddle (purchased / sample / loan) are published with every review.
What it isn’t
- An aggregate of community votes — community signals are surfaced separately.
- A spec calculation — spec sheets get their own table on every paddle page; the rating is about play feel.
- Influenced by affiliate commission. Our rating is independent of whether a deal exists.
When ratings update
When a paddle ships a new generation we publish a fresh review against the new spec; the prior rating is archived with a date so old links still work.
